The Perak Turf Club sits on a 126-acre site that contains training and racing tracks, an equine swimming pool, 1000 stable stalls, an equestrian training centre and an equine hospital.

Horse racing is the mainstay activity of Perak Turf Club. It is a member of the Malayan Racing Association whose members include the Singapore Turf Club, Selangor Turf Club and Penang Turf Club.

Perak Turf Club stages on-course races on 26 race days a year while the race meetings of the other turf clubs on the Malayan Racing Association circuit, as well as overseas races, are broadcast live during off-course race days.

The Perak Turf Club currently houses 600 race horses in its stables. The 1,600-metre long sand and grass tracks provide the race horses with excellent training facilities while its main racing track is a 2,000-metre turf track. The Perak Turf Club boasts of the rare distinction of being able to stage a 1,100-metre straight race on its race course.

The Grandstand of the Perak Turf Club can accommodate some 20,000 spectators. Exclusive and luxurious air-conditioned corporate boxes overlooking the race track are available for hire to both individuals and organizations. Installed throughout the Grandstand are closed-circuit televisions enabling racing enthusiasts to follow the thrilling moments of each race. Food and beverage outlets are conveniently located in the Grandstand.

The Perak Turf Club also provides equine medical services through its Equine Hospital while equestrian activities are conducted through its equestrian arm, PRTC Equestrian Club.
