Perak Turf Club - MITAVITE ASIA (MA) MAJOR SPONSORS FOR PRTC MEETING ON SUNDAY

MITAVITE ASIA (MA) MAJOR SPONSORS FOR PRTC MEETING ON SUNDAY

Mitavite Asia, recently rebranded as MA, will be celebrating their 20th anniversary at PRTC this Sunday and will be the major sponsors for the eight race card which commences at 12.50pm.

Other businesses to be recognized on race day include MA subsidiary companies, Equine Nutrition Australasia (ENA) and Victory Equine Treadmills as well as Decron Horse Care Products.

Two races will carry added bonuses for the winning trainers of Race 5 and Race 7. Decron products to the value of RM750 will be presented to the winning trainer of the 1400m Decron International Supplies Stakes (Novice). A product hamper will be presented to the winning trainer of the 1200m Equine Nutrition Australasia Handicap.

 INDOMITABLE SPEED

The Novice (Race 5) is a small but interesting line up with INDOMITABLE SPEED and NOT USUAL PRINCE being the only winners in the seven horse field. INDOMITABLE SPEED is also one of the more experienced performers with 12 starts to date and his recent form in Class 4 races suggest another win is on the cards come Sunday. NOT USUAL PRINCE did not disgrace in several Class 4 performances at Singapore prior to his first up effort here last month. The Kevin Coetzee runner won as a three year old in New Zealand and will be a definite improver judging by his winning trial here on Tuesday. Stable mate, INVICTUS WARRIOR trialled fairly and the former Singapore galloper is first up since August. OSCAR ECLIPSE performed admirably during the Malaysia 3YO Championship (2nd in Heat, 6th in Final) earlier this year and the lightly raced galloper should mature into a handy four year old.

 GRAND CROSS

The main race is the 1200m MA 20th Anniversary Cup and GRAND CROSS gets his chance to return to winning form. The 7yo has the speed to lead, is a proven weight carrier, and is coming off a last start 2nd to the smart Mr Nevermind in Penang a fortnight ago.

 LISBOA STAR

LISBOA STAR may provide some value with the lightweight of 52kg and is well drawn to be prominent for a long way. The 6yo is rarely far away after posting two placings at Class 4 grade recently.

 L'APPRENTI SORCIER

L’APPRENTI SORCIER and SUN LION are both resuming and are coming off some good form lines prior to going for their respective breaks. RELAU STAR has a good record at the track and distance and will be competitive despite his wide barrier draw. DAVINCI is a group winner who can never be discounted despite the steep drop in distance from his 4th in the 2000m G1 Piala Emas in September.
