Following a big number of entries, including a large contingent of KL runners, marathon cards of 10 and 11 races will be conducted this Saturday and Sunday respectively at PRTC.

Saturday’s program will be highlighted by the 1400m Enrich Stakes A (Race 5) which features a quality field of progressive gallopers including two-time G1 place getter STAR GENIUS, who looks on track for back to back victories.

The 7yo mare has won 3 from 8 locally and was impressive when she sprinted quickly from midfield to score over 1300m at Penang in soft going on 15 September.

MR CROWE finished 3rd in that same race and would have produced one of the fastest closing sectionals for the day when he flew from last at the 400m mark. The 7yo gelding has scored twice in the country, including a 1400m Penang win two starts back, and will also prove hard to beat in his first visit to the Ipoh circuit.

SHOWBOY is working back to better form since failing in the G1 Penang Sprint Trophy in June. The 7yo had every chance from a wide draw when placed in a KL Metro A contest two weeks back.

BUENOS AIRES is another horse on the way up posting 3 local victories so far but his last start win was his most impressive. The 6yo came from a rearward position against a strong Class 3 line up in KL a fortnight ago, winning by 2.7 lengths and drawing away.

LISBOA STAR looks a genuine lightweight chance following his fast finishing 3rd behind BUENOS AIRES last start. MULTIBLUE SHARK , placed in the G1 Coronation Cup last year, has won 3 at the track and distance and looks a genuine trifecta chance.

PENDRAGON PRINCESS is the likely leader and should give plenty of cheek in the run.
