Perak Turf Club - PREVIEW FOR PRTC RACING THIS SATURDAY

PREVIEW FOR PRTC RACING THIS SATURDAY

Following several periods of heavy rain in the Kinta Valley during the week, a soft/heavy track is guaranteed for the 10 race programme at PRTC on Saturday. First race will commence at 1.05pm with simulcast racing coming through from Australia and Korea.

EARLY SCRATCHINGS:

R4> No 6 SUPER GOOD & No 16 CHAMPAGNE ROSE

R5> No 2 MR WASHINGTON & No 5 COLD WAR

R7> No 6 KEEP THE JUSTICE

 PLATINUM LIFE

BEST BETS:

MARK LYDEAMORE

RACE 10 No 6 PLATINUM LIFE – This progressive 3yo performed admirably in Class Three company last start finishing 4th. Possesses a good record of 3 wins from 6 starts, is proven in wet going and the 3kg claim for apprentice J Daniel is a big advantage.

Trifecta chances given to (8) CROWN STAR, who was actually demoted to 2nd following an objection when beating PLATINUM LIFE a couple of months back. The 5yo battled on gamely finishing 3rd to the talented Mr Nevermind here last Sunday. (7) ALWAYS D’GREAT will derive plenty of benefit from his first up 2nd in that same race and is another runner who can handle the wet surface. (2) EL CONDOR won three in succession earlier this year and wasn’t beaten far in a Class 3 event last start in KL when resuming.
 RUSSELL THE CROWE

TURF GUIDE

RACE 9 No 5 RUSSELL THE CROWEBacking up from his first up 3rd down the 1100m straight course last Saturday where he flew the barriers and led for most of the journey. The 8yo looks hard to beat in Cosmo C grade and has 6 wins to his credit over 1200m.

Trifecta chances include (2) LOUEY VELOCE who failed from a wide barrier last start but did win in heavy going at Penang back in July. (6) BATTLE HORSE has been freshened up since winning over 1200m  and is capable of winning again. (3) PISCES STAR has decreased significantly in the ratings but comes to notice because of his impressive wet track form and drops back to his favourite distance with in form apprentice CK Khaw astride. (4) PORSENCE is a handy performer resuming since February and is one to watch while (1) LAUS DEO races well fresh and looks a chance despite the 59kg.

WE

EAGLE EYE

RACE 6 No 4 RASMEE (R6 No 4) – The former New Zealander looked ultra impressive when winning his maiden at Penang in heavy going last month. The 4yo was sharpened up with an easy trial win on the sand track here on Tuesday morning and has the ability to defy the rise to Class 4 ranks.

Several trifecta hopes including the ultra consistent (2) FLYING WINNER, who is knocking on the door following 4 placings in a row since winning here back in July. (7) LUCK SUCCESS drops back in grade, is a proven Class 4 performer and has scored 3 times at the Ipoh mile. (5) LITTLEBITOFJOY showed a return to form when he closed off well finishing 3rd in Penang a month ago. Minor chances also given to stable mates, (1) DAVINCI and (3) LEON who both tend to mix their form but are capable of featuring in the placings.
