Twenty one year old Mauritian born apprentice SOURIEN MENEANEN will be making his riding debut with two mounts at the Macau Race Meeting this Saturday 4 February.
MENEANEN joined the Perak Turf Club Academy in 2015, successfully completing the programme in 2016. He is indentured to KM Chin, a former jockey who rode in a number of different countries, including Malaysia. One of Chin’s major wins was for the Golden Knight Stable in 2007 when he rode Fast Flying to victory in the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor (G1).
MENEANEN will ride Explosive Blast in Race 1 and The Mighty in Race 5.
Other Mauritian born graduates from the 2015 intake have taken up career paths in various racing juridictions around the world.
*YOGESSEN MAUREE is a licenced apprenticed in Bahrain. He has already made his riding debut.
*CHANDRASEN GOINDASAMY is working in New Zealand with his jockey licence currently pending.

*JAGADISHAN DANIEL is apprenticed to KL Chong and is currently riding in Malaysia.
*PALVEER MOGUN is currently licenced and riding in Mauritius.
*MICHAEL MIGALE went on to further his career training in the USA and returned to Mauritius where his jockey licence is currently pending.
*BRANDON LOUIS commenced his riding career in New Caledonia before returning to Mauritius, where he is currently licenced.
*MUHAMMED BEELAL DEENATH is licenced and currently riding in Mauritius.
